Somethings will just slip out and will show what you are truly thinking. Example: When looking up synonyms for "dedication" you type in "dead" instead.

Double check your document names.  You may be mortified to find out that your abbreviation turns out to be an unflattering adjective.

Example:
The shortening of analysis:  anal[your name].doc

Who needs plastic surgery or liposuction?  All you need are homophones!

Exhibit A:  "Oh, you deleted my 'but'."
Exhibit B:  "You deleted all my 'noes' too."

Lesson:  Editing parties can be fun!

Always double check your work, especially work involving words.  Otherwise, you may have some amusing typos, especially those that are homophones!

Mannerisms are contagious.

Be careful what you joke about.  You might just end up becoming what you laughed at.

Be sure you know your more..."exotic" words.   Else, you may end up insulting someone unintentionally.  Or was it intentionally?!

Example:
Bombastic vs. Bombtastic

Bombastic:  pompous language - language that is full of long or pretentious words, used to impress others
Bombtastic:  an adjective to describe something fabulous (bomb + fantastic = bombtastic)

English.  American English.  A very strange language.  Once more, I remind you:  "Think before you speak out loud."
